You are not my competition.

You are not my competition.

I am not in competition with anyone. Not even myself. It’s not me against me. I’m not here to be better today than I was yesterday. I am here to be the full expression of myself before I allowed myself to be somebody else.

There’s a narrative rising in the personal development scene that has shifted from competing with others to competing with ourselves. But, I am not in competition with myself, I am WITH myself and FOR myself. Striving to be all of me, yes.

You see.. you don’t need to be “better” than who you were yesterday. You need to drop more into who you truly are. Your essence, your kindness, your love, your passion, all of YOU.

Comparison is a distraction to all of this. Competition is a distraction to all of this.

Maybe you think I’m missing the mark here. Missing the point. Misunderstanding. I say, I am not. To me if we are competing against ourselves it is saying I will be better tomorrow than I am today. You are already magnificent. So express your magnificence. Be who you were before you were told to be someone else.

XOXO,

Kat Feeney
