I will look for more studies - honestly there aren't that many to pull from and I don't have access to the nutrition journals that I used to have access to, I find it helps me, so I just trust that. It's something that was in a lot of the texts I used in natural health studies as well.

:: Week 9: Recoding Who You Want to Become

Writing exercise (listen to the video first!):

  1. Write out or speak out exactly what it is that you want.
  2. Write out your doubts and fears around achieving what you want.
  3. Re-write those fears and doubts and affirm your belief in what your desired outcome/feeling is.
  4. Recode any stories from your past - things you were told, things people said to you.
  5. Write out again what is possible for you. Write as if it’s already happened.
  6. I am statements.
  7. Daily practice of reframing negative self talk + asking yourself what you need in moments where you’re “falling off track/ binge eating/ not eating/ stress eating”.
